V.I.S.T.A is a surgical tunneling technique that can be used for covering exposed roots due to gum recession.
After we use the tunneling technique to gain access to the roots, the L-PRF membanes are used to graft the area.
L-PRF (Leucyte-platelet rich fibrin) membranes are made in our office from the patient’s centrifuged blood just before performing the root coverage procedure.
Due to it being an autologous grafting material, the L-PRF membrane is not rejected by the patient’s body, making the procedure predictable.
The laser is used to make the surgical incisions and to make the “biological bandage”, a healing aid procedure we perform after other periodontal surgeries as well.
